Overview

Khareef Dhofar campaign is one of Oman’s largest seasonal tourism campaigns, highlighting the monsoon season that transforms the Dhofar region into a unique destination for visitors from within the Sultanate and across the region. We led the development of the campaign’s communication strategy, including audience analysis, formulation of key media messages, management of digital content, and supervision of daily coverage of events and activities throughout the season. This also included on-ground site visits and managing real-time content during the campaign period.

Challanges

The main challenge was maintaining a strong and consistent media momentum throughout the Khareef season, which required continuous daily content and communication to reflect the energy and activities taking place across the region. Coordinating with senior entities and multiple partners also required careful alignment and efficient communication, while ensuring a cohesive visual and communication narrative across all platforms.

Results & Impact

The campaign generated strong digital momentum throughout the season, increasing visibility and engagement around Khareef Dhofar’s experiences. It also reinforced Dhofar’s positioning as a leading seasonal tourism destination, with visitor numbers exceeding those of the previous year, reflecting the success of the campaign’s communication strategy and execution.
